I now realize the challenges of servicing an ac filter in the rural area

I feel for my clients who live in rural areas, they miss out on many perks that come with living within a developed area.

Since there are no local HVAC suppliers, most town providers take a while to fulfill orders and requests because of the nature of the road and distance to be covered.

And when they do, they charge exorbitant rates that limit their market coverage in that rural area. Our company had two orders to fulfill this time in this humid region; one was an ac filter replacement, and the other was an HVAC installation. These two orders were 500 meters apart. Like any other HVAC supplier that provides their services there, we tried to outsource all temperature control needs and only concentrate on HVAC for sale. Still, one after the other, the subcontractors kept withdrawing their services. So we ended up being the only providers to continue servicing any air duct, thermostat, ductwork sealing, cooling, and heating device in the region. Few residents have a steam boiler here and there, but they are underutilized during the warm seasons. That situation makes me a busy HVAC serviceman all year round. The only setback is that sometimes the supplies we carry to the site are not exactly needed, so we have to make extra trips just to service one air conditioner. The long term benefit to our heating and cooling business is unsustainable, and we are seriously reconsidering maintaining our presence in this region. We have two active contracts left to manage the hybrid HVAC system we installed, after which we shall wind up our operations here as well.
