When I graduated from college, I knew I wanted to purchase my own home, because it was a good way to invest my money. Unfortunately, my home selection was slim due to my limited budget. I did my best to save money in college, but it still wasn’t enough for my dream home or anything. I ended up finding a small townhome located in a fantastic location. While the location on the map is fantastic, it isn’t on the best street. My townhome is surrounded by a lot of rough neighbors, but the price was too good to pass up. Honestly, I’m hoping this street will clean up a bit over the years, which will increase my townhome tremendously. This could take years, but I’m trying to be tough and stick it out. However, I don’t know how much longer I can take living on this street. Last weekend, my outside condenser unit was shot! I don’t know what the bullet was aimed at, but it missed its target and hit my condenser unit, which is no cheap piece of equipment! The condenser unit was replaced when I moved in, so it was in fantastic shape. When I called my HVAC technician and told him about the bullet hole in it, he couldn’t believe it. He’d never seen anything like it. Thankfully, the bullet didn’t cause any known damage and there was a warranty on the condenser unit. I hate to throw away a good piece of equipment, but I don’t think the bullet hole will appeal to buyers in the future.
