My wife’s mom and dad celebrated their 50 year anniversary last weekend.
My wife and I flew across the country to be with them on their special day.
We left our home on Friday afternoon and we drove all the way to the airport. It took 2 hours and the traffic was very heavy across town. My wife and I were tired by the time we finally took our seats on the plane. Both of us work all day and we were ready to close our eyes for a few hours. It was going to take 3 hours to get to our destination, so my wife and I plan to rest on the plane. Unfortunately, the indoor air quality inside the plane was hot, sticky, and very smelly. I had the ventilation fan blowing in my direction and my wife was using the air ventilation fan as well. Still, it was very hot and humid inside of the plane. We were uncomfortable, but I could tell that other people were just as miserable as the two of us. Several people were writhing in their seats and others were talking to the stewardess about the indoor air quality. My wife and I didn’t want to add to the complaints, so we tried to stay calm and deal with the situation. They never fixed the ventilation issues in the plane, and my wife and I were sweaty and miserable by the time we landed. We both went to the hotel first to take a shower, before we went to see Mom and Dad.
