In the past few months everything in our household has gotten so chaotic.
I’ll be the first to admit that things were rather difficult to manage in the first place.
Between having three kids, five cats, and several dogs it seems like I am constantly running around like a chicken with my head cut off trying to contend with everyone’s needs. Someone is always upset and something always needs to be repaired. This would be difficult enough if I was at home all the time, but I also am splitting my full-time job between the office and working from home. Recently, I got so overwhelmed with things that I actually had to ask my children to help with some household responsibilities. Namely, I had to put my daughter in charge of the central heating, cooling, and air quality control system for a few months. Since this pandemic began we have been using our central heating, cooling, and air quality control devices constantly. My HVAC system never gets a break anymore because someone is always in the house requiring air temperature and air quality control. We can’t just turn off the forced air furnace or air conditioning units while everybody leaves for work and school each day. Instead, I’m having to worry a lot more about the thermostat programming and the health of our heating and cooling system. I know we’re putting a lot of extra wear and tear on the entire air quality control setup. As such, it seemed like a good opportunity to put my oldest daughter in charge of some household appliances. I just wish the HVAC techs didn’t like her so much. Since she has been arranging the heating and cooling appointments, she’s gotten way too interested in the HVAC industry.
