When the weather starts to get colder, it’s time to have a repair tune up performed on the oil furnace. My wife and I have an older home and the oil furnace is equally aged. When the weather gets colder, we typically guess about having a repair tune-up performed on the oil furnace. This year, it got chilly in the middle of September. We had a chance of snow on Halloween, for the first time in 20 years. My wife and I stressed a repair tune up for last Monday. We use the same corporation that has maintained our oil furnace for the past 10 years. It was cold, rainy, and wet on Monday, and I thought about rescheduling the appointment for another afternoon. When the professional arrived, she had mud all over her boots. I politely asked the woman to unlink her shoes before she walked through the house. I had the carpets replaced over the weekend and I did not want mud tracked all over the carpets. The first time the repair professional walked through the house, she did unlink her boots. Unluckyly, the second time the repair professional came into the home to work on the oil furnace, she forgot to unlink her boots. She got mud all over the bedroom carpet. I saw 5 sets of footprints on the carpet and I went berserk. I found the repair professional working on the oil furnace and I started yelling. I told the woman that I wasn’t paying for the oil furnace tune-up unless the corporation was going to pay to wash the carpets. The Heating & A/C repair professional tried to apologize, but she knew she was wrong.
